anyway, about the feet, the fingers could have been fanned out a bit more, dunno if this explains enough, but if you tried standing on toes, you'd see that all the pressure and bending is at their base, where they meet with the rest of the foot, and that they are pretty fanned out even with socks on, supporting the weight. so it's really that base of the toes that should be touching the ground
now excuse me, while i un-numb my toes from standing on them and examining how they're placed
